Getting married on the beach has always been a dream for many of us, and now finally in some parts of Liguria it is possible to fulfil this dream and exchange your vows on the sand overlooking the sea.
Liguria is a stunning region, on the border with France, surrounded by majestic mountains and gentle hills of Mediterranean scrub which overlook the coast.
Sestri Levante, framed by colorful houses, is named also la “citta’ dei due mari” (city of two seas) thanks to its peculiar position overlooking both the Baia del Silenzio and the Baia delle Favole, although at the moment it is only available for symbolic wedding.
Baia del Silenzio, a half-moon shapes bay of fine sand, is considered one the most italian beautiful bays. It also has a license to celebrate civil weddings.
Alternatively, for indoor civil weddings in Sestri Levante there is Sala Ocule in the town hall, and the Convento dell’Annunziata on the Baia del Silenzio.
Albisola Superiore also offers the opportunity to exchange vows of eternal love on the beach.
In fact a wedding on la terrazza sul mare has been approved as a location with the same legal standing as the town hall but with the added value of an open-air breathtaking view!
The town hall of Pietra Ligure has located 4 places with particularly spectacular scenery in which to celebrate symbolic weddings.
The spouses-to-be can choose to say “Yes, I do” on one of beaches next to Chiosco San Pietro, on the border with Borgio Verezzi, on the central beach with the boats, on Molo Marinai or in front of Madonnina di Ranzi, one the most panoramic spots of Pietra Ligure.
For civil celebrations, an amazing alternative location to the town hall building is the Parco Botanico which retains a clear view over the sea.
With all these possibilities all you to do is to book a flight, pick your location, and get inspired by the warm sea and gentle breeze.
