Castel Ivano is a fairytale castle for any bride who has been dreaming of a romantic and mesmerising venue on her special day. Overall, and putting aside for a moment the fairytale details, this venue is perfect for couples fascinated by the Dolomite mountains, and particularly suitable for those getting married in winter.
The castle has several halls which can be adapted for different uses.
The Old Barn hall is a vast, luminous space with an imposing ceiling beam, and can accommodate up to 230 guests along with a small stage for performances.
The ‘Sale delle Volte’ (Halls of Vaults) with its stone columns creates a fascinating atmosphere for up to 200 people, and is ideal for seated or standing buffet receptions.
For more intimate receptions there is the ‘Sale Della Pietre’ (Hall of Stones) with seated space for 20 people. And on the second floor is the Music Hall; spacious enough for 80 seated guests, it is regal and sumptuous, decorated with wrought-iron chandeliers and wooden hand-painted ceilings, and whose elegant fireplace is reminiscent of the past atmosphere when dames and knights would dance there.
Castel Ivano offers B&B accommodation for wedding couples, while guests can stay in affiliated hotels nearby. An event planning service is also on offer, and they will support you in choosing the best caterers based on your requirements, as well as different contractors for other services such as photography, music, floral arrangements, decor, and transport.
The local church is only 100 meters away, and for guest entertainment a guided tour of the castle’s private chambers can be booked which is a special opportunity to discover the history of the location and the events which took place in its halls.
Finally, we cannot forget to mention the Dolomites. A spectacular natural beauty which is magnificent in any season and a great winter destination for skiing. Lagorai and the Brocon Pass are the closest skiing resorts, and Trento is only a 30 minute drive from the castle.
