As a special guest of my friends I had the pleasure of spending three days in Agriturismo Titignano to celebrate their wedding.
This location has a fascinating and old history which was born as a castle in 937AD. The building was contested between the towns of Orvieto and Todi for centuries. During this long period the castle was demolished and only in the 7th Century the village took on its current aspect: a noble building surrounded by a little village where the court was based.
IN 1830 the Corsini family from Florence bought the village at auction and the family still own it along with the Vaglie and Salviano areas.
The location has been adapted for agritourism, with the possibility to celebrate religious weddings in the little chapel. Surrounded by greenery it would be lovely also to go for a bucolic and rural theme, and to celebrate the wedding outdoors in the woods of the village.
As a guest I had an amazing time during this city break, relaxing in the outdoor swimming pool which faces the Corbara lake, enjoying the typical Umbrian cuisine and visiting Orvieto and Todi.
